Dr. O’Meara is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Nursing in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and women’s health nurse practitioner at Planned Parenthood of Northern New England. Dr. O’Meara completed her M.S. at Boston College in 2006 and her DrNP at Drexel University in 2014. She completed a postgraduate nursing certificate for adult and gerontology primary care nurse practitioner at the University of Vermont in 2016. Her dissertation was entitled Simulation Learning Modalities among Nurse Practitioner Students using Herpes as a Case Exemplar. She has a strong interest in reproductive health care and creative learning modalities that encourage student engagement. She teaches in the graduate and undergraduate programs.
