Prof. Moira Mulligan graduated with a Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1986. She has worked as a speech-language pathologist in hospitals, public schools, home health agencies and at UVM for over 20 years. She served as a speech-language pathologist and as the Director of Rehabilitation Therapies at Fletcher Allen Health Care (FAHC) from 1986 to 2004. She has worked on and off in the Communication Sciences Department since 1988 as a faculty member teaching research methods, swallowing disorders, adult neuropathologies and clinical preparation and management. In 2004 she became the Clinical Director of the Eleanor M. Luse Center, where she teaches and provides clinical supervision to graduate students in Communication Sciences. Her special areas of interest are clinical supervision and mentoring, child speech and language, and pediatric and adult feeding and swallowing.
