206th University Commencement Ceremony: Sunday, May 23, 2010

Caps and Gowns, Announcements, Class rings, Senior Celebration

Regalia for the 206th Commencement Ceremony will be available at the UVM Bookstore beginning Wednesday, April 21. A complete outfit is required for all degrees (Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral). Pre-orders are not necessary. If you require special gown sizing, please contact the Bookstore to assure that you will have a gown that fits you.

Ceremony Logistics

The student and faculty line up will begin at 7:30 a.m. on the CBW Green. Graduates are asked to arrive promptly by 7:30 a.m. The academic procession will start at 8:15 a.m and the Commencement Ceremony will convene at 9:00 a.m. on the University Green.

Post-Ceremony Reception

In recognition of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences' Class of 2010, a reception with light refreshments will be held for all graduates and guests in the Billings Student Center, third floor, immediately following the university ceremony. Tickets are not required for the reception.

Diploma Distribution

Students who participate in the commencement ceremony will receive their diploma cover on stage. Diplomas will not be released until the commencement ceremony has concluded and will be distributed until 2:00 p.m. (or 1 hour after the conclusion of the ceremony) at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences post-ceremony reception in Billings, 3rd floor. Student IDs (or other forms of identification) are required for pick-up. Please notify the College of Nursing and Health Sciences if you do not plan to attend the commencement ceremony.

Students who are unable to pick up their diploma on Sunday, May 23, may do so at the Student Service Center (third floor, Waterman Building) during the week following commencement. Remaining diplomas will be mailed after June 1. Please confirm your post commencement mailing address by updating your permanent address from within myUVM.
