Professor Kit Vreeland is a nationally certified and Vermont licensed athletic trainer. As a clinical associate professor for the Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Science, she teaches various first- and second-year courses for the athletic training education program. Professor Vreeland is also the athletic trainer for UVM club sports, providing and managing coverage for high- and medium-risk sports. She works closely with the men’s and women’s rugby teams, and provides consultation on injury prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation for all UVM club sport athletes.

In addition to her responsibilities at UVM, Professor Vreeland is active in the community as an athletic trainer providing services by contracting out either personally or through area clinics to cover local events and teams. This has included coverage at various colleges, high schools, clubs, and leagues within northern Vermont, including St. Michael’s College, Champlain College, and Winooski High School. Outside of teaching and athletic training, her interests include participating in individual sports and team athletics. She’s an avid hiker, mountain biker, skier, basketball player, adventure racer, and runner. Vermont provides the perfect setting for her activities - so you may run into her hiking in the backcountry or on the slopes.
