The December Graduates’ Recognition Celebration at the University of Vermont honors those undergraduate and graduate students who have fulfilled the requirements for their degree by the end of the summer semester. The ceremony begins with an academic procession of the president, provost, trustees, honored guests, and faculty. The procession is led by the university marshal and the Pipes and Drums of Saint Andrew’s Society.

Degrees are not officially conferred until May.
Following the ceremony, everyone is invited to a celebratory buffet brunch at the Billings Center.
