Deaf and Disability Accommodation Requests

Participants or guests with disabilities and those who are Visually Impaired, and Deaf or hard of hearing may make arrangements for accommodations for parking, seating, amplification, captioning, interpretation, large print or Braille. by contacting the office of Conference and Event Services at (802) 656-5665 (voice) or by email at conferences@uvm.edu. In order to provide you with the best possible service, please make your arrangements as far in advance of Commencement as possible.


ASL Interpreters and Live Captioning
UVM provides ASL interpreters and live captioning for our largest venue events, the main ceremony and the College of Arts and Sciences ceremony on Sunday, May 17.

Live captioning will also be available at the Graduate Hooding and Honor’s College ceremonies on Saturday, May 16, and College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences ceremony on Sunday, May 17.

Should your family have additional ASL interpreting or captioning needs, please contact the office of Conference and Event Services at (802) 656-5665 (voice) or by email at conferences@uvm.edu by May 1st so that we have the time requisite to provide you with the highest quality service.
