Academic Ceremonies - Commencement
Commencement parking maps will be distributed to students when they pick up their caps and gowns. Maps will also be distributed to campus shuttle buses and area hotels/motels commencement weekend. If you do not receive a map and would like one, contact the University Communications Office, (802) 656-2005 or e-mail the office at email@example.com.

Getting Around at Commencement
Parking areas for each college or school are designated as follows. Shuttle
buses will bring guests to and from all commencement events (for schedule and
bus stop locations, please refer to Commencement
Parking Map and Quick Reference Guide)

Please respect our neighbors. Parking on area residential streets is by city-issued permit only. Violators will be subject to City of Burlington policy of ticketing and towing vehicles parked in these areas.

Lot A (Gutterson Lot and Garage)
|Arts and Sciences||Lot B and Lot C (Ag/Engineering and Given Lots)|
|Business Administration||Downtown Burlington (free public parking is available on Sundays)|
|Education and Social Services||Lot A (Gutterson Lot and Garage)|

|Handicap Parking||Handicap Parking will be available at the Gutterson Lot and Garage.|
|Honors College||Saturday: Parking has been moved from UHC Lot to Lot C (Water Tower Lot). Shuttles will run between Ira Allen and the Davis from 2:30 to 5:00 pm. Handicap parking will be provided behind Ira Allen for the ceremony and at the Davis Oval for the reception. Sunday: please park in Lot(s) designated for your school or college.|

Street Closings (Updated 5/16/08)
Due to the change in location for the Main Commencement Ceremony, Graduate College Ceremony and College of Arts and Sciences Ceremony from outdoors on the University Green to indoors at the Athletic Campus, two of the street-closings originally planned have been cancelled.
South Prospect and College streets will be open to traffic on Saturday and
Sunday; however, University Place will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday
(May 17-18) from Colchester Avenue to Main Street.
Shuttle Bus Service
Saturday, May 17, 2008 (Updated 5/16/08)
2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Shuttles will run between Water Tower Lot / Davis Center and Ira Allen Chapel for the Honors College Ceremony.
Sunday, May 18, 2008 (Updated 5/16/08)
7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Buses will run from all campus parking sites to Patrick Gymnasium, the UVM Conference Center at the Sheraton, Ira Allen Chapel and downtown Burlington (the Flynn Theatre of Performing Arts and Hilton Burlington Hotel). Shuttle buses run every 10 minutes from each bus stop. (see map).
Deaf and Disability Accommodation Requests
Participants or guests with disabilities and those who are Visually Impaired, and Deaf or hard of hearing may make arrangements for accommodations for parking, seating, amplification, captioning, interpretation, large print or Braille by contacting the office of Conference and Event Services at (802) 656-5665 (voice) or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. In order to provide you with the best possible service, please make your arrangements as far in advance of Commencement as possible.
