216th Commencement Ceremonies - May 20 and 21, 2017

2017 May Commencement Schedule


Due to a favorable weather forecast, the University Commencement Main Ceremony and the College of Arts and Sciences ceremony will be held outdoors on the University Green as originally planned. (Tickets are not required for these ceremonies.)

Saturday, May 20, 2017

Graduate College Commencement Ceremony
All master’s and doctoral degree graduates will receive their academic hood and diploma during the Graduate College Commencement Ceremony.

Honors College Scholars Recognition Ceremony

Sunday, May 21, 2017

The University Commencement Main Ceremony
A formal ceremony where the president will confer baccalaureate degrees and honorary degrees. Students will receive their diploma at their home college/school ceremony later in the day.

The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine Commencement Ceremony

The president will confer upon graduates the doctor of medicine degree. Graduates will take their professional oath.

College and School Ceremonies
College and school ceremonies (see links below) are schedule throughout the afternoon following the University Commencement Main Ceremony on Sunday, May 21. At these ceremonies, undergraduates will walk across the stage of their home college/school to receive their diploma.
