Main Ceremony

Location: University Green (Indoor viewing of the [outdoor] University Commencement Main Ceremony will be available on large screen display in Waterman Memorial Lounge.)

Ceremony Start Time: 8:20 am (includes procession)
Ceremony End Time: 11:00 am

Tickets are not required.
Video: A DVD of this ceremony will be available for purchase from the UVM Bookstore. Pre-orders may be placed on line beginning Wednesday, March 16.

Gail Sheehy, UVM Class of 1958, world-renowned author, journalist and lecturer.  Bio.
Diplomas: 
The president will confer degrees at the University Commencement Main Ceremony. Diplomas will be distributed at each college/school ceremony. See your college/school schedule listing for specific details.

Seating Assistance:  Please consider your mobility needs for the day. Ceremonies and receptions are generally a short walk or shuttle bus ride apart. UVM will have a limited number of wheelchairs available to transport guests needing assistance at each ceremony venue between the venue’s main entrance and their seat. Please note, guests will not be able to remain in the transport wheelchair during the ceremony, because UVM is unable to provide a wheelchair for all-day use. For assistance with a wheelchair at the end of the ceremony, please locate an usher wearing a yellow vest. If a wheelchair is needed for the full day, we recommend checking with local area vendors for availability.
