Honors College Scholars Recognition Ceremony

Location: Ira Allen Chapel
Date: Saturday, May 21, 2016
Start Time: 3:30 p.m.
End Time: 4:30 p.m.
Tickets: No. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. Overflow seating will be available in the Billings–Ira Allen Lecture Hall where the ceremony will be shown on large screen display.
Doors Open:
3:00 p.m.
Line-up Location: Cook Commons
Line-up Time: 3:00 p.m.
Regalia: Students and faculty should arrive at the line-up wearing their regalia.
Photographer: GradImages, a professional commencement photography business, will photograph each student at their college/school ceremony.  Pre-event registration is encouraged. Visit the GradImages website to pre-register or to order prints. Please note, that photos take up to 72 hours to become available on the GradImages website. Prices start at $9.95. 
Video: A DVD of this ceremony will be available for purchase from the UVM Bookstore. Pre-orders may be placed on line beginning Wednesday, March 16.

Diplomas: Diplomas are not awarded at the Honors College Scholars Recognition Ceremony. Diplomas will be awarded at each home college/school ceremony on Sunday, May 22.

Seating Assistance:  Please consider your mobility needs for the day. Ceremonies and receptions are generally a short walk or shuttle bus ride apart. UVM will have a limited number of wheelchairs available to transport guests needing assistance at each ceremony venue between the venue’s main entrance and their seat. Please note, guests will not be able to remain in the transport wheelchair during the ceremony, because UVM is unable to provide a wheelchair for all-day use. For assistance with a wheelchair at the end of the ceremony, please locate an usher wearing a yellow vest. If a wheelchair is needed for the full day, we recommend checking with local area vendors for availability.
