College of Medicine Ceremony

Location: Ira Allen Chapel

Tickets: Tickets required. Guests without tickets may view the ceremony on large screen display in Billings-Ira Allen Lecture Hall. More details will be posted as information becomes available.
Doors Open: 2:30 p.m.
Line-up Location: Students will line-up in Cook Commons; Faculty should report to Ira Allen Chapel
Line-up Time: 2:00 pm
Regalia: Students should arrive at the line-up location wearing their regalia, Faculty may robe upon arrival
Photographer: GradImages, a professional commencement photography business, will photograph each student at their college/school ceremony.  Pre-event registration is encouraged. Visit the GradImages website to pre-register or to order prints. Please note, that photos take up to 72 hours to become available on the GradImages website. Prices start at $9.95. 
Video: A DVD of this ceremony will be available for purchase from the UVM Bookstore. Pre-orders may be placed on line beginning Monday, April 25.

Speaker: Rochelle A. Dicker, M.D., UVM College of Medicine Class of 1995, Professor of Surgery and Anesthesia, Trauma Surgeon and Critical Care Intensivist, University of California San Francisco. Bio
Diplomas: Diplomas will be awarded at College of Medicine Commencement Ceremony. Unclaimed diplomas for College of Medicine students will be mailed to them by the college.

Seating Assistance:  Please consider your mobility needs for the day. Ceremonies and receptions are generally a short walk or shuttle bus ride apart. UVM will have a limited number of wheelchairs available to transport guests needing assistance at each ceremony venue between the venue’s main entrance and their seat. Please note, guests will not be able to remain in the transport wheelchair during the ceremony, because UVM is unable to provide a wheelchair for all-day use. For assistance with a wheelchair at the end of the ceremony, please locate an usher wearing a yellow vest. If a wheelchair is needed for the full day, we recommend checking with local area vendors for availability.
