In the event of severe weather, the College of Arts and Sciences Ceremony will be held indoors in the Multipurpose Facility on the Athletic Campus.

Ceremony

Location: University Green
Date: Sunday, May 18, 2014
Start Time:

End Time:  3:00 p.m.
Tickets:  Tickets are not necessary if the ceremony is held outdoors. In the event of severe weather, tickets will be required to attend the College of Arts and Sciences Ceremony at its indoor venue (see Severe Weather Plan below). More details will be posted as information becomes available.
Line-up Location:  Chittenden-Buckham-Wills (CBW Green)
Line-up Time: Immediately following the main ceremony, 11:45 am
Regalia:
Students should arrive at the line-up location wearing their regalia
Photographer: GradImages. Visit the GradImages website at www.gradimages.com to pre-register or to order prints. Pre-event registration is encouraged. Prints can be ordered online or by phone at 800-261-2576. Prices start at $9.95. See GradImages complete pricing and package list. Check the GradImages website for more details, daily specials and special price breaks throughout the summer.
Videographer: A DVD of this ceremony will be available for purchase from the UVM Bookstore. Pre-orders may be placed on line beginning April 28.
Live Webcast: Commencement Live
Diplomas: Diplomas will be handed out in the Royall Tyler Theatre (or, if the ceremony is held indoors, in the South University Heights lobby) following the College of Arts and Sciences ceremony. Unclaimed diplomas will be returned to the Registrar's Office. After Sunday, May 18, diplomas may be picked up at the Student Service Center located on the 3rd floor of the Waterman Building during the following times: Monday, May 19, 12:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., and Tuesday - Friday, May 20 - 23, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Remaining diplomas will be mailed the week of May 27th.

Seating Assistance: Please consider your mobility needs for the day. Ceremonies and receptions are generally a short walk or shuttle bus ride apart. UVM will have a limited number of wheelchairs available to transport individuals at each ceremony venue between the venue's main entrance and their seat (please note, guests will not be able to remain in the transport wheelchair as UVM is unable to provide a wheelchair for all-day use). At the end of the ceremony, please locate an usher (wearing a yellow vest) to return with a wheelchair for assistance. If a wheelchair is needed for the full day, we recommend checking with your local area vendors for availability. For other accommodations and requests, please refer to our Deaf and Disability Accommodation Request Form.

Severe Weather Plan


Severe Weather Venue for the College of Arts and Sciences

Rain Site Venue: Multipurpose Facility in the Athletic Complex. Tickets will be required. (4 tickets per graduate, graduates do not need a ticket). Guests without tickets may view the ceremony on large screen display and closed-circuit TV in the Davis Center. Severe weather information will be available on the UVM main website beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 or by calling (802) 656-3309 or toll-free (800) 903-6601.
