In his defining text, Pedagogy of the Oppressed, Paulo
Freire noted that "knowledge emerges only through invention and
re-invention, through the restless, impatient, continuing, hopeful
inquiry human beings pursue in the world, with the world, and with each
other." I agree with this assertion, and, therefore, my scholarship,
community
service, teaching, and research aim to enhance these endeavors.
