Der hatte nicht gewilliget in ihren Rat und Handel; der war von Arimathia, der Stadt der Juden, der auch auf das Reich Gottes wartete, der ging zu Pilato und bat um den Leib Jesu.

But all of his relatives had been standing at a distance, as well as the women, who had followed him from Galilee, and saw it all. And, behold, there was a man with the name of Joseph, a member of the Council, who was a good and righteous man. He had not approved the Council's verdict and action; he was from Arimathea, a city of Judea. He, too, was looking forward to the kingdom of God and went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.
