Continuation of Latin 101, covering the Golden and Silver Ages of Latin literature in the historical context of the Augustan age, the Julio-Claudians, and good and bad rulers of the early empire. Authors will include Horace and Livy, Juvenal and Tacitus, in Latin, with supplementary reading in English translation. The format and supplements are similar to those in Latin 101..
Prerequisites:
Latin 101 or equivalent.
