Classics 157: Greek Feminism
(Cross-listed with World Literature [WLIT] 157, History 157 and Women's Studies 157)

The construction of the status of women in ancient Greek society. Readings include lyric, tragic, and comic poetry, philosophy, oratory, novel, and nonliterary documents.

Prerequisites: Sophomore standing, three hours in literature, history, anthropology, or sociology.

Three hours.
