Classics 153: Greek Drama
(Cross-listed with World Literature [WLIT]153)

Plays of Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides, and Aristophanes in their cultural and historical setting, with some attention to the influence of Greek drama upon western dramatic tradition through comparative readings of Marlowe, Shakespeare, and others.

Prerequisites:
Sophomore standing.

Three hours.
