General Appointments:

We see students by appointment for acute and chronic medical problems and injuries, preventive care (health risk assessment, smoking cessation, allergy injections, immunizations, preparation for foreign travel, and men's health issues).  It is required and preferred that you call for an appointment.  We often have appointments available on the same day that you call, especially if requests are made between 8 and 10 AM.  Calling ahead makes it less likely that you'll have to wait.

Getting the Most from Us

We recommend that you select one provider to see you while you attend UVM. (You are always free to change providers if you so choose.) If you have a chronic health problem (such as asthma, diabetes) we strongly recommend that you make an appointment to meet with a provider early in your first semester at UVM. In addition you should have your provider or specialist at home send information regarding your condition, and what may be special issues for you while you are at UVM. For more detail go to our Insurance information site.

Charges

If you have paid the health fee there is no charge for regular clinic appointments with primary providers or for nutritional counseling. Charges are associated with some supplies and services including laboratory tests, ECG, nebulizer treatments, crutches, braces, and psychiatric services. If you have not paid the health fee, we will be happy to see you on a fee-for-service basis. (Link to Student Health Fee.)

Parking:

Parking is available in the lot at 425 Pearl Street. Parking for students who have business at the Center for Health & Wellbeing is available at the driveway leading to the Pearl Street entrance. When you check in, please notify the receptionist that you have parked your car.
