Women's Health

Women’s health is just one aspect of our commitment at SHS to offer full spectrum primary care. Our goal is to create a confidential, comfortable environment in which to address the sometimes sensitive topics specific to women. All our health care providers are trained to care for our female students’ unique needs. In addition, we offer specific primary care GYN services:

  • Evaluation and treatment of genital lesions, vaginal symptoms, and problems related to menses
  • Screening for and management of sexually transmitted infections (STI's)
  • Cancer prevention and screening:
    • HPV vaccine information and immunization
    • Pap smear if indicated
    • Breast exams and mammography referrals if indicated
  • Pregnancy prevention counseling & services
  • Pregnancy testing, nonjudgmental discussion of management options, and necessary referrals
  • Evaluation following unwanted sexual experience or assault

We encourage students to meet with their primary campus provider for these and any health related issues. Appointments can be made by phoning clinic at 656-3350.
