NOTES:

  • *Graduation with a B.S. requires 6 hours of advanced chemistry-related course work (200 level or higher), which must include at least 3 hours of chemistry research (CHEM 291). Although 1-4 hours of CHEM 291 can be taken in a semester, students usually take 1-2 h over 2-3 semesters to complete the 3-hour requirement.
  • One elective course of advanced chemistry (200 level and above) or additional hours of CHEM 291 to reach the 6 hours of advanced coursework.
  • CHEM 031/032 can be substituted for CHEM 035/036
  • CHEM 141/142 can be substituted for CHEM 143/144
  • MATH 121 can be substituted for CHEM 167
