The Secondary Education Political Science major includes the list of specific Political Science requirements and the Supplemental courses that are required for completion of the Political Science major leading to a Social Studies endorsement.

Political Science Requirements

POLS 021 American Political System
POLS 041 Introduction to Political Theory
POLS 051 Introduction to International Relations
POLS 071 Comparative Political Systems
Select six courses at the 100 level or above. (18 cr. hrs.)
At least one POLS elective must be a 200 level seminar.

Diversity, Unity, Identity and Interdependence - SOC 001 or ANTH 021 or GEOG 060
Citizenship (POLS) - Fulfilled by Political Science major.
Economics - EC 011 or other three (3) credit hour Economics course
Physical Geography - GEOG 040 (can be fulfilled with gen ed science)
Psychology -Fulfilled by PSYC 001 or HDFS 005 in gen ed reqs
