*Students entering with four weak years or three years of high school Latin normally should, in their first year, take LAT 051, 052 Intermediate Latin, three credits each semester, followed by LAT 101, 102, 211, 212, 203 and 204.
*Students entering with fewer than two years of high school Latin should, in their first year, take LAT 001, 002 Elementary Latin, four credits each semester, followed by LAT 101, 102, 211, 212, 203 and 204.
1. Exceptions can and should be made in the recommended courses in cases where individual experience and preparation in the language indicate the advisability of such changes.
2. College of Education and Social Services students should go to the Classics Department for advising in their choice of coursework so that appropriate modifications in the recommended program may be made.
