News to know

Teacher Education Students -- Licensure Information and Checklist:

In order to be endorsed to teach, you must successfully complete your teacher education program.  This includes:

  • Meeting the Praxis I requirement
  • Earning an overall GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Earning a minimum grade of B (not B-) in your student teaching internship
  • Completing all program requirements
  • Receiving a passing status on Portfolio
    Licensure Checklist:
  • When will be transcript be stamped/endorsed?
    • Transcripts will be stamped after your UVM degree is listed on your transcript
  • How do I get my license in Vermont?
    • Refer to the Vermont Agency of Education website
  • How do I get licensed to teach in another state?
    • Each state has an Agency of Education website.  Please refer to the state's individual site for more information.
  • How do I know I passed my portfolio?
    • Ask your adviser

Transferring Courses to Graduate in May 2013

photo descriptionIf you intend on utilizing transfer courses to graduate in May, remember the deadline for all course transfers is May 13th!  Please note, you must have earned a C or better to transfer a course for credit.

Student Financial Services and Your Student Account

Do you still have a balance on your SFS account?  If yes, your diploma may be withheld.  Your degree will still be conferred, but you will not receive the actual diploma until your bill has been settled.  If you have questions about your balance, please contact Student Financial Services at 802-656-5700.
