Lauren Lawson is currently the Coordinator of the Early Childhood PreK-3 Program and teaches a variety of Early Childhood PreK-3 and Early Childhood Special Education teacher preparation courses, including EDEC 101, EDEC 103, and ECSP 187/386. Lauren also supervises both undergraduate and graduate students in the context of their field placements around Chittenden County and beyond. Lauren has earned her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in Anthropology, M.Ed. from Mills College in Child Development, Early Childhood Education and Child Life, and her C.A.S. from the University of Vermont in Early Childhood Special Education. Lauren currently lives in Shelburne with her two middle school-aged children and small herd of pets, including a dog, 2 cats and 10 chickens. Her professional interests include social constructivist curriculum development, documentation, and authentic inclusion of children with diverse abilities in natural environments.
