From 2010 to 2016, Dr. Pirone was Director of the American Sign Language (ASL)/Deaf Studies program at the College of the Holy Cross. Dr. Pirone has taught ASL, Deaf Culture, and Deaf Studies for over 13 years at exceptional colleges and universities, including public and private and two- and four-year institutions. Previously, Dr. Pirone served as the Executive Director of the Massachusetts State Association of the Deaf and was a co-founder of the Deaf Youth Outdoor Leadership Program. He holds an Ed.D degree in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University and his dissertation examined the lived experiences of Deaf college students with American Sign Language interpreters.
