Mabika is a PhD student in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the Republic of Congo. He has taught English as a Second language for six years in high school in his home country. He came to the US in 2010 as a Fulbright grantee and went to Lehigh University for a Masters of Arts in Comparative and International Education, between 2010 and 2012. As a 2011 UN intern, Mabika worked with the United Nations Academic Impact program to make a bridge between universities from Francophone Africa and numerous UN initiatives.  Mabika is interested in issues of cultural competence, cross-culture and youth leadership. Mabika lives with his family. They like everything about Vermont, except snow.
