Caitlin Steele is working toward a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy with a research focus on systems thinking and interdisciplinary curricula in K-12 schools.  She studied English and Elementary Education at The College of Wooster and earned her M.A. from The Bread Loaf School of English.  She has taught for twelve years, 7th-12th grade in Colorado and Vermont schools and more recently at the Community College of Vermont.  As a 2009 Rowland Foundation Fellow, Caitlin collaborated with colleagues at Otter Valley Union High School to design and implement an interdisciplinary, sustainability-themed freshman academy.  She lives with her family in Bristol, Vermont.
