Megan Munson-Warnken is pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership with a particular focus on middle level education and the experiences of boys in language arts classrooms. She is interested in their perceptions of themselves as learners, their identities as readers, and the ways middle level teachers and schools can more fully engage male students. Megan has a Bachelors of Arts in English Literature from Bryn Mawr College and a Masters degree in English Literature from the University of Washington. She taught middle level students in public and private schools in Connecticut, Oregon, and Washington, and more recently was an instructor in the Core Division (an interdisciplinary division) at Champlain College in Burlington. She lives in Burlington with her family and enjoys running, reading, and adventuring with her three young sons.
