CESS Assessment and Accreditation

Assessment and Accreditation in CESS

The office of assessment and accreditation functions as a support service for programs and departments of the college. Through the articulation of curricular experiences and expectations, College faculty aspire to prepare committed reflective practitioners, instructional leaders, and change agents who can collaborate with other professionals to make a positive difference in communities and in the lives of all learners. Faculty of the college share the the organizational goals of setting high standards for our students. To ensure students achieve those standards, assessment activities inform faculty about ways to continuously improve on curricular experiences so that students can master the skills, dispositions, and knowledge to become contributing members of their communities upon graduating from the university. And to paraphrase John Dewey, achievement of one set of objectives is the beginning of the next journey.
