2012 CESS STAFF RETREAT

Education, relaxation, laughter!!

The 2012 CESS Staff Retreat was a resounding success!

The afternoon started out with a fajita bar luncheon and a mingling icebreaker.  Dean Miller joined us for lunch and had some very warm, encouraging words for the CESS staff.

Next, everyone enjoyed our Keynote Speaker, Josie Leavitt, Comedian, who spoke about her own history with heart disease and stressed how humor and laughter can be a very important part of surviving difficult times.  Some very brave staff members even took turns at being a "two-minute" comedian.

In addition, staff members were able to attend either a "Yoga in the Workplace" or "Technology" class.  Then it was on to sundaes and great prizes!!

Once again, we recognized the staff who have reached a milestone year (5, 10, 15, 20 years) based on the number of years served as a staff member in CESS.  Each staff person received a certificate as well as an appreciation gift from Dean Miller.  Congratulations again to the recognized staff:

Louise Lynch, CDCI with 5 years

Sue Markley, CDCI with 5 years

Amanda Terreri, DLDS with 10 years

In closing, please feel free to use our confidential "Contact Us" page on the SAC website for any questions or concerns you might have.   We are always looking for more staff members to join the SAC and in fact we have a few openings for next year.  If you would like to learn more about serving on the SAC, please email Karen Orr at korr@uvm.edu or Margie Dunki-Jacobs at mdunkija@uvm.edu.

Thanks again for all who took part in the retreat and to our SAC members who worked so well as a team to pull off this amazing, fun, relaxing event.  For those that were not able to attend for various reasons, we hope that we will see you at the 2013 CESS Staff Retreat.
