B.S. in Computer Science 1999
Josh earned his B.S. degree in Computer Science at The University of Vermont (1999) with a minor in Mathematics; and M.S. (2003) and Ph.D. (2007) both in Computer Science, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He credits both the in-depth technical and the broad liberal arts education he received at UVM with preparing him for his chosen career.
Since 2007, Josh has served as assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at Bucknell University. He teaches a wide range of courses, focusing on computer organization and architecture. His research frequently involves undergraduates and focuses on the architecture and history of computer graphics hardware as well as the efficient simulation of atmospheric phenomena such as halos. His work is published in several conferences and journals. While at UVM, Josh co-founded the UVM Computer Science Student Association (CSSA) and was recognized with the 1999 UVM Computer Science Senior Award and the ACM Faculty Award, and was also an active member of Phi Beta Kappa and Upsilon Pi Epsilon.
Josh currently resides in Lewisburg, PA with his wife and daughter.
