Phone number: 866-327-2014 Email address: Nick.Ogrizovich@uvm.edu
Bio: Nick Ogrizovich has been involved in Universal Design principle integration since 2002, when he first started working for UVM in the Lab formerly known as the "Adaptive Technology Lab", which has since evolved into "The Universal Design Technology Lab" which more clearly resembles its function. Nick specializes in finding ways to apply UD concepts to anything. While he originally dealt with assistive technology and matching it to users, he has seen his role focus more on incorporating UD aspects into all areas of the working environment. An example is the note taking program he also coordinates. He has been working on finding creative solutions that professors can integrate into the classroom experience which will eliminate the need for an actual "note taking accommodation" as an afterthought. When such "accommodations" are built into the course, everyone wins! Disability support, students, and professors.
