Bio: Dr. Susan Ryan is the Executive Director of the Vermont University Center on Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, the Center on Disability and Community Inclusion and the Principal Investigator for the Think College Vermont @UVM/CDCI. As the Principal Investigator of this initiative Dr. Ryan is committed to building inclusive higher education opportunities for students who experience intellectual disabilities first at UVM and then throughout Vermont.

Bio: Bryan Dague has been employed at the Center on Disability & Community Inclusion at the University of Vermont since 1992 providing training and technical assistance in the areas of supported employment and transition. Bryan is a program coordinator for the Think College Vermont @UVM/CDCI and is also working on the Natural Supports grant to increase the inclusion of people with disabilities into the workforce.

Bio: Cassandra George is the TPSID Think College Vermont @UVM/CDCI Program Manager and serves as the full-time primary contact for the program.
She holds a Masters Degree in Conflict Resolution and Mediation and is a strong advocate for community and restorative justice. She is committed to working with people and helping them establish goals and find positive outcomes. Prior to working at UVM, Cassandra worked in advertising and media.

Bio: Ellen is the Director of Academic Support Programs at University of Vermont, which includes the ACCESS, Learning Cooperative, TRIO/SSS, and TRIO/Upward Bound programs. She is currently a member of the Design Team for the UDL grant and the Think College Vermont @UVM/CDCI management team. Ellen is available to help students determine the best way to pay for the Think College Vermont program.

Bio: Deb Baker-Moody earned her Masters in Learning Disabilities from the College of St. Rose in Albany, New York. She graduated from William Smith College with a degree in Psychology. Deborah has worked in residential programs for people with intellectual disabilities and as a Special Educator in Vermont public schools. She is currently working with high school students from Chittenden county and designing a transition program based on student interests and community partnerships.

Bio: Larry is Associate Professor of Human Development and Family Studies, in the College of Education and Social Services. He was co-Principal Investigator for the Faculty Consultation project implementing Universal Design for Learning [UDL] practices at UVM. For Think College Vermont, he provides consultation to faculty teaching courses in which ThinkCollege students are enrolled.

Bio: Perry LaRoque, Ph.D., earned his doctorate in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin. Dr. LaRoque has served in a variety of leadership roles serving at-risk youth and people with disabilities. Before returning for his doctoral work, Dr. LaRoque worked in an assisted-living care facility for adults with intellectual disabilities and taught Special Education in several public schools. Upon returning for his doctoral studies, he continued his service in the field and served as a teacher and mental health specialist in a children’s residential psychiatric program. He has served as an adjunct and assistant professor in several Education and Special Education Departments and currently is an Associate Professor and the Special Education Coordinator for Johnson State College in Vermont.

Bio: Chris Kennedy earned his masters and undergraduate degree in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin. He currently serves as the Program Director for the Think College Vermont @ JSC program and also as an adjunct faculty member at JSC. Prior to working at JSC, Chris worked as the co-founder and executive director of a non-profit organization serving youth with disabilities in Africa, as a special education teacher, and in various residential and support services for individuals with disabilities in the United States as well as abroad.

Bio: Patricia H. Mueller, Ed.D. is President and founder of Evergreen Educational Consulting L.L.C., a woman-owned, small business specializing in evaluation of federal-funded programs. Dr. Mueller has extensive experience in evaluating education initiatives to include OSEP funded: Regional Resource Centers, State Personnel Development Grants and personnel preparation programs at Institutes of Higher Education.
