The Purpose of the RSRP project
The purpose of the Related Services Research Project (RSRP) was to refine, implement,
and evaluate a set of ten interrelated components referred to as VISTA (Vermont
Interdependent Services Team Approach). VISTA is a team process designed to facilitate
cross-disciplinary, interdependent, support service/related service decision-making
and implementation for students with disabilities in schools, with an emphasis
on its application in general education settings. Although this funded research
activity focused on students with who are deaf-blind and may have concomitant
disabilities, VISTA is designed to be generically applicable for use by teams
serving any students with disabilities who have multiple service needs.
