EDSP 200: Consult & Co Teaching in ISE

Course Description:

This course will address systems necessary to support all children, especially those with the most severe and multiple disabilities, to participate in and benefit from the general education curriculum and environments. Participants will explore using collaborative teaming and consultation models, co-teaching, developing peer relationships, and supporting all children in integrated classes. The class will also explore models for supporting para educators in Intensive Special Education (ISE).

This course will run from June 30th until August 8th, 2014

EDSP 302: Physical & Developmental Characteristics of Individuals with Disabilities

Course Description:

Normal development - birth through six years, developmental disorders, disabilities, medical/health considerations. Management of significant disabilities through the employment of such procedures as handling, positioning, and feeding. Prerequisite: Instructor permission.
