Course Description:

This course will provide the participants with knowledge and skills to design, implement, and evaluate quality instruction for students with severe disabilities, including autism, within a general education setting. Scholars will assess and create goals and objectives for one student and design specialized instructional plans to implement in inclusive settings. Scholars will conduct an in-depth functional assessment, design effective specialized instructional strategies, and implement specialized instruction within a functional, relevant, meaningful and age-appropriate framework. The emphasis of this course will be on utilizing the Collaborative Team Process to promote the achievement of educational performance outcomes within inclusive settings.

This course will run from August 25th until December 3rd, 2014
