Basic Information:

Children with GIZMO the moose.Who should attend?

Focus children - Six target students will be selected to participate in recreational activities and to be supported in identifying and applying strategies for solving assistive technology needs. Preference will be given to students aged 4-10 who are deaf blind, are at risk for deaf blindness or have multiple disabilities with visual impairment.

  • The parents of focus children are required to attend.
  • The siblings and friends of focus children are encouraged to attend.
  • The educational team members, including caregivers of focus children, are encouraged to attend. Preference will be given to focus children attending with a team.

Volunteer staff - Professionals, college students, and others with an interest in helping will be assigned to various positions in Kids Camp, Bright Ideas Teams, Child Care Center and as instructors in the Institute labs and workshops. They may also choose to attend workshops and labs of interest. If interested, please contact Susan Edelman. Register by completing the Camper Registration form.

Other children - The Camp's volunteers and the focus children's team members are welcome to enroll their children to attend the Kid's Camp. There will be a limit on the total number of children.

Other adults - Parents, family members, school team members or professionals not affiliated with a focus child who want to learn about assistive technology are welcome to register for the day workshops only (Food for Thoughts) Registration forms are available at your right.
