Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI)

Skills for Reclaiming Children and Youth Involved in Self-Defeating Patterns of Behavior

Participants will learn the skills of effective conflict management and intervention techniques for counseling students who have self-defeating patterns of behavior. This course is most appropriate for educators, administrators, guidance counselors, mental health counselors who regularly work with students prone to conflict and exhibiting challenging behaviors in school. The Life Space Crisis Intervention Institute will certify participants who successfully complete this program.

FEE

Course and Materials - $450 * must be paid by check, with registration form, to instructor. PURCHASE ORDERS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED AS PAYMENT FOR THE COURSE. CREDIT OPTIONS: Graduate credits are available through Augustana College (Special Education or Psychology) or UVM (Education) for an additional fee. Students must register for credit separately.

UVM registration (graduate or undergraduate)

$420 for three credits (approximately) Register through the UVM Continuing Education On-line registration (www.learn.uvm.edu/education); and select Instructor - Hamilton, EDSP 295, Life Space Crisis Intervention or

Augustana University graduate credits - $250 paid by check made out to Reclaiming Youth and is given to instructor the first class.

*Communication is preferred by email. Class must have 10 people to happen. Students will receive confirmation email the week before class.
