Welcome
I am very pleased to share the work of the
Center on Disability and Community
Inclusion (CDCI) at the University of
Vermont. Our Center began in 1973. Since
1978, CDCI has been part of a national
network, now numbering 67, of University
Centers for Excellence in Developmental
Disabilities.
The CDCI mission is to improve the lives of
individuals who experience disabilities and
their families through research, interdisciplinary training, outreach, and dissemination. We attempt to achieve this mission
through training, outreach, and research
projects that represent the commitment of
extraordinarily talented faculty, staff and
community partners.
On behalf of the faculty and staff at the
Center on Disability and Community
Inclusion, thank you for taking the time to
learn more about our work. We welcome
your ideas and comments about issues that
are important to you, and how we can
strengthen communities and contribute to
the lives of individuals who
experience disabilities and
their families.
