Registration Open for Online Course: Employment Consulting & Workplace Supports

Dr. Bryan Dague of the Center on Disability and Community Inclusion, UVM, is collaborating with the University of New Hampshire this Fall on an online Supported Employment course. The course runs from September 9 - October 4, 2013. Participants may complete the course on their own schedule.
The course will teach employment specialists, job coaches, and other employment staff to assist employees with disabilities to succeed in community jobs. Participants learn to identify and enlist natural company resources for training and support, to adopt a consultant approach, and to effectively include an employee in the culture of the workplace. The course is designed for staff who provide direct placement, training, or follow-up services to individuals in supported or competitive employment.
The Instructors are David Hagner, Ph.D., from the University of New Hampshire and Bryan Dague, Ed.D., University of Vermont, Supported Employment Specialist for the Center on Disability and Community Inclusion at UVM.
