Heifer International -- a global, dynamic, non-profit organization with a compelling mission to alleviate world hunger & poverty on a grassroots community level -- is progressively expanding its Global Team. We are insearch of an individual to assist the Northeast Program Manager with project development & monitoring in rural/urban areas throughout the Northeast region (with emphasis on New York, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine) by supporting current & prospective project partners in the areas of participatory community development, technical agricultural information, marketing, organizational capacity building, & leadership skills. Also assist with training collaborations with partner organizations & manage an operations budget. BS degree in appropriate field, plus 3-5 yrs exp in rural/urban agriculture, community dev, & exp working w/limited-resource farmers. Bi-lingual in English/Spanish a plus. Knowledge of livestock management & organic horticulture desirable. Starting salary range $30K-$35K DOE, plus benefits.
