Ken Bauer

Ken Bauer has worked as an international development consultant, grassroots activist, and academic researcher in South and Central Asia since 1990. He has consulted for a variety of organizations including the World Wildlife Fund, Winrock International, United Nations Development Programme, and the Tibet Poverty Alleviation Fund. He co-founded a non-profit organization, DROKPA (www.drokpa.org), that partners with pastoral communities in the Himalaya and Central Asia to implement grassroots development and catalyze social entrepreneurship.

Qingbin Wang

Qingbin Wang is an assistant professor in the Department of Community Development and Applied Economics at the University of Vermont. Dr. Wang has published more than 25 refereed articles and presented more than 40 invited or selected papers at national and international conferences. Dr. Wang’s current research interest is to provide economic and market information to farmers, rural communities, small business, and policymakers through applied economic and market research.
