Bio/Interests:

Bethany Eisel is originally from Upstate NY. She moved to Vermont in 2000 after completing undergraduate work at Hobart/William Smith Colleges, where she majored in Sociology and Anthropology. Her main interest is international development, with a focus on developing countries. She has had the opportunity to live and work in Ecuador, Peru, and Zimbabwe, and is interested in expanding her work experience to include several other areas of Latin and South America.

Bethany’s current projects include work on obesity trends in the United States, and what variables affect these trends.

She is in her second and final year in CDAE at UVM and after graduation hopes to remain in the area doing community development and research.

Outside of school Bethany enjoys running, playing tennis, and entertaining her dog, Apollo.
