Bio/Interests:


Matias Chiota is from Cordoba, Argentina. He graduated with a BS in international community development from UVM ’02.

Matias’ current projects include a marketing study for organically produced brown sugar, the design of rural agricultural and information systems in Honduras and, earlier, for the Ministry of Agriculture, Belize.

Matias has domestic work as a research assistant for the cross campus COPC project.

His Interests include skiing, barbecuing, and spending time in diverse places with interesting people. His thesis explores market opportunities for Honduran ecological and organically produced brown sugar within the Vermont specialty foods industry.
