Naomi grew up on a small dairy farm in northwestern Vermont. Since working at a mentoring program during college, she has dedicated time to under-served populations on issues of health, education, communication, and life skills. She speaks Spanish as a result of living in Central America for over four years including two years of service as a Rural Health and Sanitation Peace Corps Volunteer in El Salvador. Upon returning to Vermont in 2009, Naomi has worked with migrant farmworkers in numerous capacities through the Migrant Education Program and UVM Extension. She currently is the Migrant Health Coordinator for Bridges to Health through UVM Extension. Additionally, she milks a few shifts a week at her parent’s farm. In her free time, Naomi enjoys Vermont’s diverse and amazing playground.
