Jennifer grew up just outside of Boston and fell in love with sustainable agriculture at the age of 16 when she worked on a farm for the summer. Jen graduated from Dartmouth College in 2004 with a degree in environmenal studies. The following year she pursued formal farm training as an apprentice at the UC Santa Cruz Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems. Since then Jen has been farming, spending a season near Boston and then moving to Burlington to work at the Intervale. Jen is also passionate about using farms as education and community-building tools. When she is not growing or cooking food, she enjoys hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and simply relaxing with good music and good friends.
