Alana was born and raised in Stowe, Vermont, and stayed in-state to attend UVM as an undergraduate. She earned a BS in Business Administration with a double concentration in International Business and Management and the Environment. After growing up in Vermont and being surrounded by the local and organic food movement and then studying business for four years she developed a desire to combine the two and pursue further studies. She is interested in using her business background to help develop sustainable supply chains in within local and national food systems.
