Marigo grew up in Brooklyn, NY and later moved to the Hudson Valley of New York State to attend SUNY New Paltz. At the university she started an initiative called Students for Sustainable Agriculture, working to support area farmers, empower students to grow food, and make an impact on the local agricultural economy. After finishing her BA, she was involved in a variety of activities, including interning for the New York Civil Liberties Union, working at various organic farms, and doing research about food systems for a progressive social justice foundation. In addition to her love for food systems work, Marigo is passionate about making music, being physically active, and building community through cooking, adventuring, and being creative. Marigo is currently working on an album with her music project called Red Hour Howl.
