Born and raised in a rural town of Brittany, France, Florence earned a bachelor's degree in International Business and Trade from the University of Rennes 1 in 2006. During her last year as an undergraduate student Florence was an exchange student at Western Washington University in Washington State. She fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and the mountains and, she moved to Portland, Oregon. In Portland, Florence worked for a non-profit organization for 4 years where she promoted world peace through cultural exchanges. Florence's interest for sustainable farming grew stronger everyday and in 2010 she quit her office job, moved to New Hampshire and worked on an organic farm.
When not studying and working at UVM Florence hopes that she will have time to ski, bike, climb and cook.
