Mike Archer graduated from Montana State University with a B.S. in economics during which time he developed a love for non-profit work by volunteering with organizations like America Reads*America Counts, Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter, and the Child Advancement Program. Following graduation Mike was hired on full-time with the company he had been interning for developing software tools to enable farmers and grain traders to effectively price and sell their grain. Mike then helped found a software development and consulting firm where he worked for two years writing software and running aspects of business development. Mike’s academic interests include business and non-profit development, labor economics and near zero marginal cost pricing.
