Grants for Multicultural Programs and Curriculum Development

The Center offers modest grants available in the categories of Programming and Curriculum Development. They can be applied for by individuals or by non-profit/SGA groups. Below are the instructions for applying for a CCP grant:

To Apply for Center for Cultural Pluralism (CCP) Programming Grant

One of the goals of UVM’s Strategic Action Plan is to increase diversity at UVM and better support existing people and programs that uphold the University’s mission:

The University of Vermont wishes to encourage and support initiatives that challenge students and the greater community to confront issues of discrimination and social injustice. To help us evaluate your request and determine appropriate funding levels, please provide the following information, enclose the materials requested, and return the request to:

Requests are considered based on the availability of funds and quality of the application. The criteria are stated below. Requests may be made by individuals or organizations. Deadline for all requests is open until funding is exhausted.

There are two categories for requesting funding:

  1. Internal/UVM Programming (for UVM sponsored programs)
  2. External Programming (for community event or program)

Materials Requested

  1. Statement of purpose describing the goals*
  2. Timeline defining the duration of the project
  3. Budget outline detailing the specific uses of the funds and funding sources
  4. Explanation of the benefits and definition of success for the project
  5. Description of related materials or activities which demonstrate your ability to carry the project to completion.

UVM’s central administration wishes to encourage and support initiatives that challenge students to confront issues of discrimination and social injustice. To help us evaluate your request and determine appropriate funding levels, please provide the following information and send the materials requested to:

The criteria are stated below. Requests may be made by individuals or by groups. We can offer grants of $100 each, but the amount and number of grants may alter depending on the type of requests.

There are two categories for requesting funding:

  1. Faculty Development (for professional development activities)
  2. Education Transformation (for curriculum or content development)

Materials Requested:

  1. Statement of purpose describing the goals*, action plan and assessment criteria
  2. Timeline defining the duration of the project
  3. Budget outline detailing the specific uses of the funds and other funding sources
  4. Explanation of the benefits if successful, especially for the desired audience
  5. Description of related materials or activities which demonstrate your ability to carry the project to completion
